I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
